About this task
This Series B online retailer for pet products (51–200 employees) is looking for a manager Chief of Staff for an ongoing part-time engagement of 2–4 h a week. Records who decided what, when and why.
The company wants a senior person on this without carrying the cost of a full-time role. It sells online, so volumes move with promotions and the calendar matters.
The company prefers a person who can come to Saanich for kickoff and the final review; the rest is remote. The company prefers early-morning hours, before a normal working day starts. About 3 hours a week should overlap with the team's day (PT).
What you deliver
- Maintain a decision log and chase owners on open actions.
- A written update every Thursday with what was done, what is next and anything blocked
- Work logged against the agreed list, so the company contact can see progress without a call
- A short handover note when the engagement pauses or ends
What a week looks like
- Wednesday: 15-minute check-in to agree the week's items
- Monday: main working block (2 hours)
- Thursday: hand-off note with what shipped and what is open
Duration: 12 weeks, renewable. Accepted on the company's written OK. If something is missed, you fix it in the same week at no extra charge to either side.
