About this task

This Series A direct-to-consumer brand for pet products (51–200 employees) is looking for a manager Chief of Staff for an ongoing part-time engagement of 2–4 h a week. Records who decided what, when and why.

The company wants a senior person on this without carrying the cost of a full-time role. It sells online, so volumes move with promotions and the calendar matters.

The team sits in 's-Hertogenbosch. Everything can be done remotely; an occasional visit is welcome and never required for the first month. You choose your hours; nothing is scheduled except an occasional short call.

What you deliver

• Maintain a decision log and chase owners on open actions.
• Work logged against the agreed list, so the company contact can see progress without a call
• A short handover note when the engagement pauses or ends
• A written update every Tuesday with what was done, what is next and anything blocked

What a week looks like

• Thursday: 15-minute check-in to agree the week's items
• Friday: main working block (2 hours)
• Tuesday: hand-off note with what shipped and what is open

Duration: 12 weeks, renewable. Accepted on the company's written OK. If something is missed, you fix it in the same week at no extra charge to either side.

How you get paid

• The company prepays Deftridge before your first hour, so payment does not depend on a late invoice.
• Deftridge pays you in EUR after the company confirms the hours or the deliverable. The payment date is written in your task agreement.
• You work as an independent contractor: you report your own income, and your recruiter sends the statements your accountant needs.
• You never chase the company. Questions about money go to Deftridge.
