About this task

This finance advisory firm for healthcare providers (201–500 employees) is looking for a manager Chief of Staff for an ongoing part-time engagement of 2–4 h a week. Records who decided what, when and why.

The company wants a senior person on this without carrying the cost of a full-time role. It is a consulting firm, so client deadlines set the pace and handover notes are expected.

The team sits in Dundee. Everything can be done remotely; an occasional visit is welcome and never required for the first month. You choose your hours; nothing is scheduled except an occasional short call. About 3 hours a week should overlap with the team's day (UK time).

What you deliver

• Maintain a decision log and chase owners on open actions.
• Questions collected in one thread, answered within one working day
• Work logged against the agreed list, so the company contact can see progress without a call
• A short handover note when the engagement pauses or ends

What a week looks like

• Daily: one hour at a time that suits you, inside the agreed window
• Tuesday: ten-minute sync if anything is blocked
• Monday: weekly summary posted to the shared thread

Duration: 12 weeks, renewable. Accepted after the walkthrough. Edits requested within three working days are part of the price.

How you get paid

• The company prepays Deftridge before your first hour, so payment does not depend on a late invoice.
• Deftridge pays you in GBP after the company confirms the hours or the deliverable. The payment date is written in your task agreement.
• You work as an independent contractor: you report your own income, and your recruiter sends the statements your accountant needs.
• You never chase the company. Questions about money go to Deftridge.
