About this task
This industrial manufacturer supplying medical devices (201–500 employees) is looking for a manager Fractional HR Business Partner for an ongoing part-time engagement of 3–8 h a week. Guides managers through conduct and performance cases.
The company wants a senior person on this without carrying the cost of a full-time role. It manufactures physical products, and the office team works to month-end and plant schedules.
The team sits in San Antonio. Everything can be done remotely; an occasional visit is welcome and never required for the first month. The company prefers early-morning hours, before a normal working day starts. About 3 hours a week should overlap with the team's day (CT).
What you deliver
- Support managers on three active cases and document each step and decision.
- A short handover note when the engagement pauses or ends
- Work logged against the agreed list, so the company contact can see progress without a call
- A written update every Wednesday with what was done, what is next and anything blocked
What a week looks like
- Thursday: 15-minute check-in to agree the week's items
- Friday: main working block (3 hours)
- Wednesday: hand-off note with what shipped and what is open
Duration: 6 months, then month by month. Accepted when the output matches the agreed checklist and the sample check passes; the recruiter confirms by e-mail.
