About this task

This Home-goods retailer selling furniture (201–500 employees) is looking for a director Fractional HR Business Partner for an ongoing part-time engagement of 3–8 h a week. Guides managers through conduct and performance cases.

Workload peaks and dips, so a few fixed hours a week fit better than a full-time seat. It is a retailer with stores and an online channel, and the team works to a weekly trading rhythm.

The company prefers a person who can come to Naples for kickoff and the final review; the rest is remote. The work runs in two set slots a week, agreed with the team at the start. About 2 hours a week should overlap with the team's day (CET).

What you deliver

• Support managers on three active cases and document each step and decision.
• Work logged against the agreed list, so the company contact can see progress without a call
• A written update every Friday with what was done, what is next and anything blocked
• A short handover note when the engagement pauses or ends

What a week looks like

• Daily: one hour at a time that suits you, inside the agreed window
• Monday: ten-minute sync if anything is blocked
• Friday: weekly summary posted to the shared thread

Duration: 12 weeks, renewable. Accepted on the company's written OK. If something is missed, you fix it in the same week at no extra charge to either side.

How you get paid

• The company prepays Deftridge before your first hour, so payment does not depend on a late invoice.
• Deftridge pays you in EUR after the company confirms the hours or the deliverable. The payment date is written in your task agreement.
• You work as an independent contractor: you report your own income, and your recruiter sends the statements your accountant needs.
• You never chase the company. Questions about money go to Deftridge.
