About this task
This digital media company covering technology (11–50 employees) is looking for a senior HR Operations & HRIS Administrator for an ongoing part-time engagement of 3–8 h a week. Keeps personnel files complete and compliant.
The person who did this left, and the company would rather bring in an experienced part-timer than rush a permanent hire. It publishes content on a schedule, so editorial deadlines are fixed.
The work is fully remote. Any location in Canada works, with a few hours of overlap with the team's day. Most people do this on weekday evenings; replies inside the working day are not expected. About 2 hours a week should overlap with the team's day (ET).
What you deliver
- Check and file contracts and right-to-work documents for new starters weekly.
- Work logged against the agreed list, so the company contact can see progress without a call
- A written update every Friday with what was done, what is next and anything blocked
- Questions collected in one thread, answered within one working day
What a week looks like
- Daily: one hour at a time that suits you, inside the agreed window
- Tuesday: ten-minute sync if anything is blocked
- Friday: weekly summary posted to the shared thread
Duration: 12 weeks, renewable. Accepted on the company's written OK. If something is missed, you fix it in the same week at no extra charge to either side.
