About this task
This automotive supplier in aftermarket parts (51–200 employees) is looking for a manager Data Scientist for a single piece of work with a fixed scope and a fixed price. A forecast with an honest error range.
A fresh pair of experienced eyes is needed, and the result is a document or file the team can use straight away. It is an automotive business with long programme cycles and a strong paper trail.
The team sits in Dresden. Everything can be done remotely; an occasional visit is welcome and never required for the first month. Most people do this on weekday evenings; replies inside the working day are not expected. About 1 hour a week should overlap with the team's day (CET).
What you deliver
- Build a weekly demand forecast for 30 products and compare it with the current spreadsheet method.
- The finished deliverable in the agreed file format, with sources and assumptions listed
- A 20-minute walkthrough call, or a recorded screen share if you prefer
- One round of edits after the company's review is included
How the work runs
- Day 1: kickoff call and access to the files
- Days 2 to 10: the work, with questions answered the same day
- Last day: delivery and a short walkthrough
Duration: 1 to 2 weeks. Accepted when the output matches the agreed checklist and the sample check passes; the recruiter confirms by e-mail.
