About this task
This retail chain with stores in six countries (1,001–5,000 employees) is looking for a director Data Scientist for a paid one-hour session with a senior specialist. A senior data scientist's view on one decision.
A short, focused session replaces days of internal debate. It is a retailer with stores and an online channel, and the team works to a weekly trading rhythm.
The work is fully remote. Any location in Germany works, with a few hours of overlap with the team's day. The call is booked at a time that suits you, evenings included. About 2 hours a week should overlap with the team's day (CET).
What you deliver
- Review a start-up's data plan and answer three questions on what to build first and what to buy.
- No preparation outside the hour unless you both agree to extend
- A short written summary of the advice within 24 hours after the session
- One focused hour, with the questions sent to you the day before
How the work runs
- Day 1: kickoff call and access to the files
- Days 2 to 3: the work, with questions answered the same day
- Last day: delivery and a short walkthrough
Duration: One session of about an hour. Accepted on the company's written OK. If something is missed, you fix it in the same week at no extra charge to either side.
