About this task

This health charity (1,001–5,000 employees) is looking for a senior Privacy & GDPR Counsel for an ongoing part-time engagement of 1–2 h a week. Handles access and deletion requests within the legal deadline.

The person who did this left, and the company would rather bring in an experienced part-timer than rush a permanent hire. It is a nonprofit, so budgets are tight and grant reporting dates are fixed.

The work is fully remote, but the company can only contract people who live in Montana, so this one is for residents there. Most people do this on weekday evenings; replies inside the working day are not expected. About 1 hour a week should overlap with the team's day (MT).

What you deliver

• Handle the month's data subject requests and prepare the response letters and records.
• A short handover note when the engagement pauses or ends
• A written update every Monday with what was done, what is next and anything blocked
• Questions collected in one thread, answered within one working day

What a week looks like

• Tuesday: pick up the queue and confirm priorities
• Midweek: two short working sessions of one to two hours
• Monday: update sent before the company's end of day

Duration: 8 weeks, renewable. Accepted when the output matches the agreed checklist and the sample check passes; the recruiter confirms by e-mail.

How you get paid

• The company prepays Deftridge before your first hour, so payment does not depend on a late invoice.
• Deftridge pays you in USD after the company confirms the hours or the deliverable. The payment date is written in your task agreement.
• You work as an independent contractor: you report your own income, and your recruiter sends the statements your accountant needs.
