About this task
This health insurer for homeowners (201–500 employees) is looking for a senior Data Scientist for a single piece of work with a fixed scope and a fixed price. A model that predicts who leaves or buys, with its accuracy explained.
A fresh pair of experienced eyes is needed, and the result is a document or file the team can use straight away. It is an insurer, so accuracy and an audit trail come before speed.
The team sits in Hamburg. Everything can be done remotely; an occasional visit is welcome and never required for the first month. Most people do this on weekday evenings; replies inside the working day are not expected. About 2 hours a week should overlap with the team's day (CET).
What you deliver
- Build and validate a churn model on 20 months of customer data and explain the top drivers in plain language.
- The finished deliverable in the agreed file format, with sources and assumptions listed
- One round of edits after the company's review is included
- A final note stating what was checked and what was left out of scope
How the work runs
- Day 1: kickoff call and access to the files
- Days 2 to 11: the work, with questions answered the same day
- Last day: delivery and a short walkthrough
Duration: 1 to 2 weeks. Accepted on the company's written OK. If something is missed, you fix it in the same week at no extra charge to either side.
