About this task
This commercial bank serving farmers and food producers (51–200 employees) is looking for a manager Payroll Specialist for an ongoing part-time engagement of 3–6 h a week. Collects changes, runs the payroll and checks the register.
The person who did this left, and the company would rather bring in an experienced part-timer than rush a permanent hire. It is a regulated bank; the work is documented and reviewed before anything is signed off.
The team sits in Barcelona. Everything can be done remotely; an occasional visit is welcome and never required for the first month. You choose your hours; nothing is scheduled except an occasional short call. About 2 hours a week should overlap with the team's day (CET).
What you deliver
- Run the bi-weekly payroll for 100 employees, compare to the prior run and resolve variances above 5%.
- A short handover note when the engagement pauses or ends
- Questions collected in one thread, answered within one working day
- A written update every Monday with what was done, what is next and anything blocked
What a week looks like
- Thursday: 15-minute check-in to agree the week's items
- Tuesday: main working block (2 hours)
- Monday: hand-off note with what shipped and what is open
Duration: 6 months, then month by month. Accepted after the walkthrough. Edits requested within three working days are part of the price.
