About this task

This Electric-vehicle maker in EV batteries (5,000+ employees) is looking for a director Fractional CFO for a monthly bundle of recurring tasks, 16–30 h a month. Bottom-up budget with department owners, approved by leadership before the year starts.

The company wants one reliable owner for a list of small jobs instead of five different people. It is an automotive business with long programme cycles and a strong paper trail.

The team sits in Palermo. Everything can be done remotely; an occasional visit is welcome and never required for the first month. You choose your hours; nothing is scheduled except an occasional short call. About 2 hours a week should overlap with the team's day (CET).

What you deliver

• Run the FY27 budget cycle for six cost centres with owner workshops, a revenue build and a final version for sign-off.
• A running log of open questions, reviewed at the start of each week
• The monthly list of items completed, each with a link to the result
• A month-end summary with hours used against the cap

What a month looks like

• Start of month: the company shares the items and the priorities
• Mid-month: progress check of 15 minutes
• Month end: hours used against the cap, results and open items

Duration: 12 weeks, with a monthly hours cap. Accepted when the company contact confirms the deliverable against the written checklist. One round of edits is included.

How you get paid

• The company prepays Deftridge before your first hour, so payment does not depend on a late invoice.
• Deftridge pays you in EUR after the company confirms the hours or the deliverable. The payment date is written in your task agreement.
• You work as an independent contractor: you report your own income, and your recruiter sends the statements your accountant needs.
• You never chase the company. Questions about money go to Deftridge.
