Market Researcher is one of the titles we hear most. These are the part-time roles where your experience carries over, what they pay per hour, and the tasks open now. About five hours a week, next to your main job.

Market researchers are hired part time for studies with a beginning and an end: a competitor landscape, a pricing survey, customer interviews, or a sizing estimate a founder needs for a board meeting. The work combines desk research, a little fieldwork and a report that leads with the answer.
The best briefs say which decision the research supports. Ask for that in the first call and write the report around it. Respect panel and survey rules in your country, and never reuse data from your employer's subscriptions; the company pays for its own sources, and the brief says which ones you can use.
In our data: 525 open tasks across the 3 roles that fit a market researcher, 58% of them remote.
