Compensation Analyst is one of the titles we hear most. These are the part-time roles where your experience carries over, what they pay per hour, and the tasks open now. About five hours a week, next to your main job.

Compensation analysts are hired for well-defined projects: a salary benchmark for a set of roles, pay bands for a growing company, a pay equity analysis, or a bonus plan model. Each ends with a spreadsheet and a short memo the leadership team can use.
Benchmarks need sources. Use the company's own survey subscriptions or public data, never your employer's licensed surveys, and say which sources you used in the memo. Pay transparency rules are spreading across US states and the EU, so experience with published ranges is a strong point to mention in your profile.
