About this task
This specialty retailer with stores in six countries (501–1,000 employees) is looking for a senior Payroll Specialist for a single piece of work with a fixed scope and a fixed price. Ties payroll totals to the ledger and the year-end forms.
It is a self-contained job: scope, checklist and price are agreed before you start. It is a retailer with stores and an online channel, and the team works to a weekly trading rhythm.
The company prefers a person who can come to Aarhus for kickoff and the final review; the rest is remote. Most people do this on weekday evenings; replies inside the working day are not expected. About 2 hours a week should overlap with the team's day (CET).
What you deliver
- Reconcile annual payroll to the general ledger and prepare the W-2 and 1099 check lists.
- The finished deliverable in the agreed file format, with sources and assumptions listed
- A final note stating what was checked and what was left out of scope
- One round of edits after the company's review is included
How the work runs
- Day 1: scope confirmed in writing, files shared
- Middle of the period: draft shared for early feedback
- Last day: final version and handover note
Duration: 2 to 3 weeks. Accepted after the walkthrough. Edits requested within three working days are part of the price.
