About this task
This insurtech company (501–1,000 employees) is looking for a senior UX Researcher for an ongoing part-time engagement of 3–7 h a week. A researcher on call for a product team.
The person who did this left, and the company would rather bring in an experienced part-timer than rush a permanent hire. It is an insurer, so accuracy and an audit trail come before speed.
The work is fully remote, but the company can only contract people who live in Alberta, so this one is for residents there. The company prefers early-morning hours, before a normal working day starts.
What you deliver
- Support the team's research requests: plan studies, review guides and share findings every week.
- A written update every Friday with what was done, what is next and anything blocked
- A short handover note when the engagement pauses or ends
- Questions collected in one thread, answered within one working day
What a week looks like
- Tuesday: pick up the queue and confirm priorities
- Midweek: two short working sessions of one to two hours
- Friday: update sent before the company's end of day
Duration: 12 weeks, renewable. Accepted on the company's written OK. If something is missed, you fix it in the same week at no extra charge to either side.
