About this task

This digital bank focused on commercial property (51–200 employees) is looking for a manager Operations Manager for an ongoing part-time engagement of 4–9 h a week. Keeps cross-team work moving and the weekly numbers visible.

The team is stretched and wants steady, predictable help instead of another full-time hire. It is a regulated bank; the work is documented and reviewed before anything is signed off.

The team sits in Sault Ste. Marie. Everything can be done remotely; an occasional visit is welcome and never required for the first month. The work runs in two set slots a week, agreed with the team at the start. About 3 hours a week should overlap with the team's day (ET).

What you deliver

• Run the weekly ops review, chase blockers across three teams and send a one-page status every Friday.
• A short handover note when the engagement pauses or ends
• Questions collected in one thread, answered within one working day
• Work logged against the agreed list, so the company contact can see progress without a call

What a week looks like

• Daily: one hour at a time that suits you, inside the agreed window
• Tuesday: ten-minute sync if anything is blocked
• Thursday: weekly summary posted to the shared thread

Duration: 12 weeks, renewable. Accepted after the walkthrough. Edits requested within three working days are part of the price.

How you get paid

• The company prepays Deftridge before your first hour, so payment does not depend on a late invoice.
• Deftridge pays you in CAD after the company confirms the hours or the deliverable. The payment date is written in your task agreement.
• You work as an independent contractor: you report your own income, and your recruiter sends the statements your accountant needs.
• You never chase the company. Questions about money go to Deftridge.
