About this task

This content marketing agency for B2B software (201–500 employees) is looking for a manager Operations Manager for an ongoing part-time engagement of 4–9 h a week. Keeps cross-team work moving and the weekly numbers visible.

Workload peaks and dips, so a few fixed hours a week fit better than a full-time seat. It is an agency, so work is organised around client campaigns and approval rounds.

The work is fully remote, but the company can only contract people who live in Ontario, so this one is for residents there. The company prefers early-morning hours, before a normal working day starts. About 3 hours a week should overlap with the team's day (ET).

What you deliver

• Run the weekly ops review, chase blockers across three teams and send a one-page status every Friday.
• Questions collected in one thread, answered within one working day
• Work logged against the agreed list, so the company contact can see progress without a call
• A short handover note when the engagement pauses or ends

What a week looks like

• Wednesday: pick up the queue and confirm priorities
• Midweek: two short working sessions of one to two hours
• Tuesday: update sent before the company's end of day

Duration: 8 weeks, renewable. Accepted after the walkthrough. Edits requested within three working days are part of the price.

How you get paid

• The company prepays Deftridge before your first hour, so payment does not depend on a late invoice.
• Deftridge pays you in CAD after the company confirms the hours or the deliverable. The payment date is written in your task agreement.
• You work as an independent contractor: you report your own income, and your recruiter sends the statements your accountant needs.
