About this task
This health charity in climate (201–500 employees) is looking for a senior Operations Manager for an ongoing part-time engagement of 4–9 h a week. Keeps cross-team work moving and the weekly numbers visible.
The person who did this left, and the company would rather bring in an experienced part-timer than rush a permanent hire. It is a nonprofit, so budgets are tight and grant reporting dates are fixed.
The team sits in Middlesbrough. Everything can be done remotely; an occasional visit is welcome and never required for the first month. You choose your hours; nothing is scheduled except an occasional short call.
What you deliver
- Run the weekly ops review, chase blockers across three teams and send a one-page status every Friday.
- A written update every Tuesday with what was done, what is next and anything blocked
- Work logged against the agreed list, so the company contact can see progress without a call
- A short handover note when the engagement pauses or ends
What a week looks like
- Friday: pick up the queue and confirm priorities
- Midweek: two short working sessions of one to two hours
- Tuesday: update sent before the company's end of day
Duration: 8 weeks, renewable. Accepted when the company contact confirms the deliverable against the written checklist. One round of edits is included.
