About this task

This Series C subscription commerce company for beauty (501–1,000 employees) is looking for a senior Data Scientist for an ongoing part-time engagement of 3–8 h a week. A standing hour for the analytics team's modelling questions.

The person who did this left, and the company would rather bring in an experienced part-timer than rush a permanent hire. It sells online, so volumes move with promotions and the calendar matters.

The company prefers a person who can come to Valencia for kickoff and the final review; the rest is remote. The work runs in two set slots a week, agreed with the team at the start. About 3 hours a week should overlap with the team's day (CET).

What you deliver

• Review the team's models and notebooks, answer questions and unblock two analysts a week.
• Questions collected in one thread, answered within one working day
• A written update every Friday with what was done, what is next and anything blocked
• A short handover note when the engagement pauses or ends

What a week looks like

• Daily: one hour at a time that suits you, inside the agreed window
• Monday: ten-minute sync if anything is blocked
• Friday: weekly summary posted to the shared thread

Duration: 6 months, then month by month. Accepted when the output matches the agreed checklist and the sample check passes; the recruiter confirms by e-mail.

How you get paid

• The company prepays Deftridge before your first hour, so payment does not depend on a late invoice.
• Deftridge pays you in EUR after the company confirms the hours or the deliverable. The payment date is written in your task agreement.
• You work as an independent contractor: you report your own income, and your recruiter sends the statements your accountant needs.
• You never chase the company. Questions about money go to Deftridge.
