About this task
This commercial bank serving professional firms (51–200 employees) is looking for a senior Data Scientist for an ongoing part-time engagement of 3–8 h a week. A standing hour for the analytics team's modelling questions.
The team is stretched and wants steady, predictable help instead of another full-time hire. It is a regulated bank; the work is documented and reviewed before anything is signed off.
The team sits in Alexandria. Everything can be done remotely; an occasional visit is welcome and never required for the first month. The work runs in two set slots a week, agreed with the team at the start.
What you deliver
- Review the team's models and notebooks, answer questions and unblock two analysts a week.
- A short handover note when the engagement pauses or ends
- Questions collected in one thread, answered within one working day
- A written update every Monday with what was done, what is next and anything blocked
What a week looks like
- Tuesday: pick up the queue and confirm priorities
- Midweek: two short working sessions of one to two hours
- Monday: update sent before the company's end of day
Duration: 12 weeks, renewable. Accepted on the company's written OK. If something is missed, you fix it in the same week at no extra charge to either side.
