About this task
This Series C mobile games company making multiplayer shooters (201–500 employees) is looking for a manager SQL & ETL Support for a single piece of work with a fixed scope and a fixed price. Finds queries and tables that cost the most and proposes savings.
A fresh pair of experienced eyes is needed, and the result is a document or file the team can use straight away. It is a games studio with release dates that move the whole calendar.
The team sits in Birmingham. Everything can be done remotely; an occasional visit is welcome and never required for the first month. Most people do this on weekday evenings; replies inside the working day are not expected. About 1 hour a week should overlap with the team's day (UK time).
What you deliver
- Analyse a quarter of warehouse spend and list five changes that cut cost by a target amount.
- A 20-minute walkthrough call, or a recorded screen share if you prefer
- The finished deliverable in the agreed file format, with sources and assumptions listed
- One round of edits after the company's review is included
How the work runs
- Day 1: scope confirmed in writing, files shared
- Middle of the period: draft shared for early feedback
- Last day: final version and handover note
Duration: 2 to 3 weeks. Accepted when the output matches the agreed checklist and the sample check passes; the recruiter confirms by e-mail.
