About this task

This Series B direct-to-consumer brand for pet products (201–500 employees) is looking for a manager Business Analyst for an ongoing part-time engagement of 3–6 h a week. Writes and refines stories so engineers can start.

The company wants a senior person on this without carrying the cost of a full-time role. It sells online, so volumes move with promotions and the calendar matters.

The team sits in Galați. Everything can be done remotely; an occasional visit is welcome and never required for the first month. The company prefers early-morning hours, before a normal working day starts. About 3 hours a week should overlap with the team's day (EET).

What you deliver

• Refine 15 backlog stories each week with acceptance criteria and open questions listed.
• Questions collected in one thread, answered within one working day
• A written update every Wednesday with what was done, what is next and anything blocked
• Work logged against the agreed list, so the company contact can see progress without a call

What a week looks like

• Monday: 15-minute check-in to agree the week's items
• Friday: main working block (2 hours)
• Wednesday: hand-off note with what shipped and what is open

Duration: 8 weeks, renewable. Accepted when the company contact confirms the deliverable against the written checklist. One round of edits is included.

How you get paid

• The company prepays Deftridge before your first hour, so payment does not depend on a late invoice.
• Deftridge pays you in EUR after the company confirms the hours or the deliverable. The payment date is written in your task agreement.
• You work as an independent contractor: you report your own income, and your recruiter sends the statements your accountant needs.
• You never chase the company. Questions about money go to Deftridge.
