About this task
This Series C business banking company for nonprofits (501–1,000 employees) is looking for a senior Business Analyst for an ongoing part-time engagement of 3–6 h a week. Writes and refines stories so engineers can start.
The team is stretched and wants steady, predictable help instead of another full-time hire. It operates in regulated payments and lending, so a written trail for every decision matters.
The team sits in Carmel. Everything can be done remotely; an occasional visit is welcome and never required for the first month. Evenings or weekends are fine, as long as the agreed weekly output is there. About 3 hours a week should overlap with the team's day (ET).
What you deliver
- Refine 12 backlog stories each week with acceptance criteria and open questions listed.
- Work logged against the agreed list, so the company contact can see progress without a call
- Questions collected in one thread, answered within one working day
- A written update every Monday with what was done, what is next and anything blocked
What a week looks like
- Thursday: 15-minute check-in to agree the week's items
- Wednesday: main working block (2 hours)
- Monday: hand-off note with what shipped and what is open
Duration: 8 weeks, renewable. Accepted when the company contact confirms the deliverable against the written checklist. One round of edits is included.
