About this task
This staffing firm for tech hiring (1,001–5,000 employees) is looking for a senior Business Analyst for a single piece of work with a fixed scope and a fixed price. Test scenarios and a sign-off route for a new system or change.
The work is too small to justify a hire and too important to leave to chance. It works in staffing and HR technology, and the team is used to external specialists.
The work is fully remote. Any location in United Kingdom works, with a few hours of overlap with the team's day. You choose your hours; nothing is scheduled except an occasional short call.
What you deliver
- Write 60 UAT scenarios for the new CRM workflows, run them with business users and log defects.
- A 20-minute walkthrough call, or a recorded screen share if you prefer
- One round of edits after the company's review is included
- A final note stating what was checked and what was left out of scope
How the work runs
- Day 1: scope confirmed in writing, files shared
- Middle of the period: draft shared for early feedback
- Last day: final version and handover note
Duration: 2 to 3 weeks. Accepted when the company contact confirms the deliverable against the written checklist. One round of edits is included.
Tools
Who fits

- Comfortable working in Jira and Excel
- Your own work history stays private; the company sees a first name, your field and a rate
Nice to have
- Used to short written handovers
- A habit of asking one clarifying question early rather than five late
Not included
- Work outside the scope written in the brief; extra items are quoted separately
- On-call availability outside the agreed window
- Anything that needs a signature in your own name unless the brief says so
How you get paid
- The company prepays Deftridge before your first hour, so payment does not depend on a late invoice.
- Deftridge pays you in GBP after the company confirms the hours or the deliverable. The payment date is written in your task agreement.
- You work as an independent contractor: you report your own income, and your recruiter sends the statements your accountant needs.
- You never chase the company. Questions about money go to Deftridge.
