About this task

This Growth-stage generative-AI company for code (501–1,000 employees) is looking for a manager AI Evaluator: Tax for a rating and review programme for AI output in your own field, 3–6 h a week. Checks that AI cites the right forms and dates.

The programme needs subject-matter experts who can tell a good answer from a plausible one in their own field. It builds AI products and needs human experts to check what the models produce.

The work is fully remote, but the company can only contract people who live in New Jersey, so this one is for residents there.

What you deliver

• Check 40 AI answers for correct forms, thresholds and filing deadlines against official sources.
• Ratings entered in the client's tool against the written rubric, with a one-line reason each
• A weekly count of items reviewed, confirmed by the programme lead
• Flags for answers that are unsafe, off-topic or wrong in your field

What a week looks like

• Monday: pick up the queue and confirm priorities
• Midweek: two short working sessions of one to two hours
• Wednesday: update sent before the company's end of day

Duration: Weekly batches for 12 weeks, renewed every four weeks. Accepted on the company's written OK. If something is missed, you fix it in the same week at no extra charge to either side.

How you get paid

• The company prepays Deftridge before your first hour, so payment does not depend on a late invoice.
• Deftridge pays you in USD after the company confirms the hours or the deliverable. The payment date is written in your task agreement.
• You work as an independent contractor: you report your own income, and your recruiter sends the statements your accountant needs.
• You never chase the company. Questions about money go to Deftridge.
