About this task
This warehousing operator (501–1,000 employees) is looking for a senior UX Researcher for a single piece of work with a fixed scope and a fixed price. A short survey and a clear read of the answers.
The company has a deadline, no one free to own it, and wants a person who has done the same job before. It moves goods for customers, so the data is operational and updated daily.
The team sits in London. Everything can be done remotely; an occasional visit is welcome and never required for the first month. Most people do this on weekday evenings; replies inside the working day are not expected. About 1 hour a week should overlap with the team's day (UK time).
What you deliver
- Write a 12-question survey, field it to 200 users and summarise the results with five recommendations.
- The finished deliverable in the agreed file format, with sources and assumptions listed
- A final note stating what was checked and what was left out of scope
- One round of edits after the company's review is included
How the work runs
- Day 1: kickoff call and access to the files
- Days 2 to 8: the work, with questions answered the same day
- Last day: delivery and a short walkthrough
Duration: 1 to 2 weeks. Accepted after the walkthrough. Edits requested within three working days are part of the price.
Tools

- Comfortable working in Typeform and Excel

Nice to have
- A habit of asking one clarifying question early rather than five late
- Has worked with a distributed team across time zones
Not included
- On-call availability outside the agreed window
- Travel or work at a fixed location
- Work outside the scope written in the brief; extra items are quoted separately
How you get paid
- The company prepays Deftridge before your first hour, so payment does not depend on a late invoice.
- Deftridge pays you in GBP after the company confirms the hours or the deliverable. The payment date is written in your task agreement.
- You work as an independent contractor: you report your own income, and your recruiter sends the statements your accountant needs.
- You never chase the company. Questions about money go to Deftridge.

Questions about pay and privacy
The rules are the same for every task. Pricing explains the 15% fee, prepayment and when you are paid; How it works covers matching, what the company sees and side work next to a job.
