About this task

This Series B online marketplace for beauty (51–200 employees) is looking for a manager Procurement & Vendor Manager for an ongoing part-time engagement of 3–8 h a week. Checks and registers new suppliers.

Workload peaks and dips, so a few fixed hours a week fit better than a full-time seat. It sells online, so volumes move with promotions and the calendar matters.

The team sits in The Villages. Everything can be done remotely; an occasional visit is welcome and never required for the first month. Most people do this on weekday evenings; replies inside the working day are not expected. About 3 hours a week should overlap with the team's day (ET).

What you deliver

• Onboard 40 suppliers with tax, insurance and bank checks.
• Work logged against the agreed list, so the company contact can see progress without a call
• A short handover note when the engagement pauses or ends
• Questions collected in one thread, answered within one working day

What a week looks like

• Daily: one hour at a time that suits you, inside the agreed window
• Wednesday: ten-minute sync if anything is blocked
• Friday: weekly summary posted to the shared thread

Duration: 8 weeks, renewable. Accepted when the output matches the agreed checklist and the sample check passes; the recruiter confirms by e-mail.

How you get paid

• The company prepays Deftridge before your first hour, so payment does not depend on a late invoice.
• Deftridge pays you in USD after the company confirms the hours or the deliverable. The payment date is written in your task agreement.
• You work as an independent contractor: you report your own income, and your recruiter sends the statements your accountant needs.
• You never chase the company. Questions about money go to Deftridge.
