About this task

This publishing house covering business news (501–1,000 employees) is looking for a director Procurement & Vendor Manager for an ongoing part-time engagement of 3–8 h a week. Checks and registers new suppliers.

The team is stretched and wants steady, predictable help instead of another full-time hire. It publishes content on a schedule, so editorial deadlines are fixed.

The work is fully remote. Any location in Slovakia works, with a few hours of overlap with the team's day. You choose your hours; nothing is scheduled except an occasional short call. About 2 hours a week should overlap with the team's day (EET).

What you deliver

  • Onboard 25 suppliers with tax, insurance and bank checks.
  • A short handover note when the engagement pauses or ends
  • Work logged against the agreed list, so the company contact can see progress without a call
  • Questions collected in one thread, answered within one working day

What a week looks like

  • Monday: 15-minute check-in to agree the week's items
  • Tuesday: main working block (3 hours)
  • Wednesday: hand-off note with what shipped and what is open

Duration: 12 weeks, renewable. Accepted on the company's written OK. If something is missed, you fix it in the same week at no extra charge to either side.
