About this task

This Last-mile delivery company for pharma (201–500 employees) is looking for a senior Procurement & Vendor Manager for an ongoing part-time engagement of 3–8 h a week. Checks and registers new suppliers.

The team is stretched and wants steady, predictable help instead of another full-time hire. It moves goods for customers, so the data is operational and updated daily.

The work is fully remote. Any location in Ireland works, with a few hours of overlap with the team's day. You choose your hours; nothing is scheduled except an occasional short call. About 3 hours a week should overlap with the team's day (Irish time).

What you deliver

• Onboard 15 suppliers with tax, insurance and bank checks.
• A short handover note when the engagement pauses or ends
• Questions collected in one thread, answered within one working day
• A written update every Tuesday with what was done, what is next and anything blocked

What a week looks like

• Friday: pick up the queue and confirm priorities
• Midweek: two short working sessions of one to two hours
• Tuesday: update sent before the company's end of day

Duration: 12 weeks, renewable. Accepted on the company's written OK. If something is missed, you fix it in the same week at no extra charge to either side.

How you get paid

• The company prepays Deftridge before your first hour, so payment does not depend on a late invoice.
• Deftridge pays you in EUR after the company confirms the hours or the deliverable. The payment date is written in your task agreement.
• You work as an independent contractor: you report your own income, and your recruiter sends the statements your accountant needs.
• You never chase the company. Questions about money go to Deftridge.

How this rate compares

The midpoint of this range, €40 an hour, is in line with the median senior Procurement & Vendor Manager rate in Ireland (€40). The shaded band is the 25th to 75th percentile of the market.
