About this task
This machinery maker making industrial pumps (51–200 employees) is looking for a senior Procurement & Vendor Manager for a single piece of work with a fixed scope and a fixed price. Negotiation plan and fallback options.
The work is too small to justify a hire and too important to leave to chance. It manufactures physical products, and the office team works to month-end and plant schedules.
The work is fully remote. Any location in United States works, with a few hours of overlap with the team's day. You choose your hours; nothing is scheduled except an occasional short call. About 2 hours a week should overlap with the team's day (CT).
What you deliver
- Negotiate a three-year renewal with a software supplier and achieve a target discount.
- A 20-minute walkthrough call, or a recorded screen share if you prefer
- A final note stating what was checked and what was left out of scope
- The finished deliverable in the agreed file format, with sources and assumptions listed
How the work runs
- Day 1: scope confirmed in writing, files shared
- Middle of the period: draft shared for early feedback
- Last day: final version and handover note
Duration: 1 to 2 weeks. Accepted on the company's written OK. If something is missed, you fix it in the same week at no extra charge to either side.
