About this task

This corporate law firm (201–500 employees) is looking for a manager PR & Communications for a monthly bundle of recurring tasks, 8–14 h a month. Personalised pitches to named journalists, with follow-ups and a log of replies.

A named list of recurring items keeps the month predictable for both sides. It is a law firm; confidentiality is absolute and every file is handled under supervision.

The team sits in Heidelberg. Everything can be done remotely; an occasional visit is welcome and never required for the first month. The work runs in two set slots a week, agreed with the team at the start.

What you deliver

• Pitch a new industry survey to 40 journalists with tailored emails and report outcomes.
• A month-end summary with hours used against the cap
• A running log of open questions, reviewed at the start of each week
• A named list of items moved to next month, so nothing is lost

What a month looks like

• Week 1: intake call and a list of what is due this month
• Weeks 2 and 3: items completed in short sessions
• Week 4: month-end summary and the list for next month

Duration: 6 months, with a monthly hours cap. Accepted when the company contact confirms the deliverable against the written checklist. One round of edits is included.

How you get paid

• The company prepays Deftridge before your first hour, so payment does not depend on a late invoice.
• Deftridge pays you in EUR after the company confirms the hours or the deliverable. The payment date is written in your task agreement.
• You work as an independent contractor: you report your own income, and your recruiter sends the statements your accountant needs.
• You never chase the company. Questions about money go to Deftridge.

The midpoint of this range, €64 an hour, is above the median manager PR & Communications rate in Germany (€60). The shaded band is the 25th to 75th percentile of the market.
