About this task
This Series C subscription commerce company for pet products (501–1,000 employees) is looking for a manager PR & Communications for a monthly bundle of recurring tasks, 8–14 h a month. Personalised pitches to named journalists, with follow-ups and a log of replies.
The same kind of work comes back every month, so the company prefers one person with an hours cap over ad-hoc requests. It sells online, so volumes move with promotions and the calendar matters.
The work is fully remote. Any location in Canada works, with a few hours of overlap with the team's day. The work runs in two set slots a week, agreed with the team at the start. About 2 hours a week should overlap with the team's day (CT).
What you deliver
- Pitch a new industry survey to 25 journalists with tailored emails and report outcomes.
- A month-end summary with hours used against the cap
- A running log of open questions, reviewed at the start of each week
- A named list of items moved to next month, so nothing is lost
What a month looks like
- Week 1: intake call and a list of what is due this month
- Weeks 2 and 3: items completed in short sessions
- Week 4: month-end summary and the list for next month
Duration: 12 weeks, with a monthly hours cap. Accepted when the company contact confirms the deliverable against the written checklist. One round of edits is included.
