About this task
This electronics manufacturer supplying medical devices (1,001–5,000 employees) is looking for a senior SQL & ETL Support for a single piece of work with a fixed scope and a fixed price. Rewrites queries and adds indexes or partitions.
The company has a deadline, no one free to own it, and wants a person who has done the same job before. It manufactures physical products, and the office team works to month-end and plant schedules.
The team sits in Plymouth. Everything can be done remotely; an occasional visit is welcome and never required for the first month. You choose your hours; nothing is scheduled except an occasional short call.
What you deliver
- Speed up the ten slowest warehouse queries and report before and after run times.
- A 20-minute walkthrough call, or a recorded screen share if you prefer
- One round of edits after the company's review is included
- A final note stating what was checked and what was left out of scope
How the work runs
- Day 1: kickoff call and access to the files
- Days 2 to 5: the work, with questions answered the same day
- Last day: delivery and a short walkthrough
Duration: 2 to 3 weeks. Accepted after the walkthrough. Edits requested within three working days are part of the price.
