About this task
This Supply-chain software company for retailers (201–500 employees) is looking for a specialist BI Analyst for an ongoing part-time engagement of 1–2 h a week. Monthly pack to managers with commentary.
The person who did this left, and the company would rather bring in an experienced part-timer than rush a permanent hire. It moves goods for customers, so the data is operational and updated daily.
The team sits in New York City. Everything can be done remotely; an occasional visit is welcome and never required for the first month. Most people do this on weekday evenings; replies inside the working day are not expected. About 3 hours a week should overlap with the team's day (ET).
What you deliver
- Prepare the monthly department pack from the BI tool with five lines of commentary per department.
- Questions collected in one thread, answered within one working day
- A short handover note when the engagement pauses or ends
- A written update every Friday with what was done, what is next and anything blocked
What a week looks like
- Tuesday: 15-minute check-in to agree the week's items
- Wednesday: main working block (1 hours)
- Friday: hand-off note with what shipped and what is open
Duration: 8 weeks, renewable. Accepted after the walkthrough. Edits requested within three working days are part of the price.
