About this task

This Travel-technology company in corporate travel (501–1,000 employees) is looking for a senior Tax Preparation Support for a single piece of work with a fixed scope and a fixed price. Looks at where a company may have to collect and file sales tax.

A fresh pair of experienced eyes is needed, and the result is a document or file the team can use straight away. It works in travel and hospitality, where demand is seasonal.

The work is fully remote, but the company can only contract people who live in Louisiana, so this one is for residents there. You choose your hours; nothing is scheduled except an occasional short call. About 2 hours a week should overlap with the team's day (CT).

What you deliver

• Analyse sales by state against nexus thresholds and produce a ranked list of states to register in.
• A final note stating what was checked and what was left out of scope
• One round of edits after the company's review is included
• The finished deliverable in the agreed file format, with sources and assumptions listed

How the work runs

• Day 1: scope confirmed in writing, files shared
• Middle of the period: draft shared for early feedback
• Last day: final version and handover note

Duration: 2 to 3 weeks. Accepted when the output matches the agreed checklist and the sample check passes; the recruiter confirms by e-mail.

How you get paid
