About this task
This Series B expense management software company (201–500 employees) is looking for a manager FP&A Analyst for an ongoing part-time engagement of 1–2 h a week. Calculates commissions from a plan document and closed deals.
Workload peaks and dips, so a few fixed hours a week fit better than a full-time seat. It operates in regulated payments and lending, so a written trail for every decision matters.
The team sits in San Diego. Everything can be done remotely; an occasional visit is welcome and never required for the first month. You choose your hours; nothing is scheduled except an occasional short call. About 1 hour a week should overlap with the team's day (PT).
What you deliver
- Compute October commissions for 15 reps against the written plan, with an exceptions list for review.
- A short handover note when the engagement pauses or ends
- Questions collected in one thread, answered within one working day
- Work logged against the agreed list, so the company contact can see progress without a call
What a week looks like
- Friday: pick up the queue and confirm priorities
- Midweek: two short working sessions of one to two hours
- Tuesday: update sent before the company's end of day
Duration: 16 weeks, renewable. Accepted on the company's written OK. If something is missed, you fix it in the same week at no extra charge to either side.
