About this task

This Series A generative-AI startup (51–200 employees) is looking for a senior Contracts Manager for an ongoing part-time engagement of 1–2 h a week. Watches renewals and notice dates so nothing auto-renews unseen.

Workload peaks and dips, so a few fixed hours a week fit better than a full-time seat. It builds AI products and needs human experts to check what the models produce.

The work is fully remote, but the company can only contract people who live in Oklahoma, so this one is for residents there. The work runs in two set slots a week, agreed with the team at the start.

What you deliver

• Review upcoming renewals each month, brief owners and decide keep, renegotiate or terminate.
• A written update every Friday with what was done, what is next and anything blocked
• Questions collected in one thread, answered within one working day
• Work logged against the agreed list, so the company contact can see progress without a call

What a week looks like

• Monday: 15-minute check-in to agree the week's items
• Thursday: main working block (1 hours)
• Friday: hand-off note with what shipped and what is open

Duration: 16 weeks, renewable. Accepted after the walkthrough. Edits requested within three working days are part of the price.

How you get paid

• The company prepays Deftridge before your first hour, so payment does not depend on a late invoice.
• Deftridge pays you in USD after the company confirms the hours or the deliverable. The payment date is written in your task agreement.
• You work as an independent contractor: you report your own income, and your recruiter sends the statements your accountant needs.
• You never chase the company. Questions about money go to Deftridge.
