About this task
This regional bank serving farmers and food producers (501–1,000 employees) is looking for a manager Internal Audit & SOX Support for an ongoing part-time engagement of 1–2 h a week. Tracks open findings and verifies the fixes.
The team is stretched and wants steady, predictable help instead of another full-time hire. It is a regulated bank; the work is documented and reviewed before anything is signed off.
The company prefers a person who can come to Seattle for kickoff and the final review; the rest is remote. You choose your hours; nothing is scheduled except an occasional short call. About 1 hour a week should overlap with the team's day (PT).
What you deliver
- Follow up 15 open audit findings with owners, record evidence and close those that pass re-test.
- A short handover note when the engagement pauses or ends
- Work logged against the agreed list, so the company contact can see progress without a call
- A written update every Friday with what was done, what is next and anything blocked
What a week looks like
- Wednesday: pick up the queue and confirm priorities
- Midweek: two short working sessions of one to two hours
- Friday: update sent before the company's end of day
Duration: 6 months, then month by month. Accepted on the company's written OK. If something is missed, you fix it in the same week at no extra charge to either side.
