About this task

This regional bank serving professional firms (5,000+ employees) is looking for a manager Internal Audit & SOX Support for an ongoing part-time engagement of 1–2 h a week. Tracks open findings and verifies the fixes.

The person who did this left, and the company would rather bring in an experienced part-timer than rush a permanent hire. It is a regulated bank; the work is documented and reviewed before anything is signed off.

The team sits in London. Everything can be done remotely; an occasional visit is welcome and never required for the first month. You choose your hours; nothing is scheduled except an occasional short call. About 3 hours a week should overlap with the team's day (UK time).

What you deliver

• Follow up 15 open audit findings with owners, record evidence and close those that pass re-test.
• A short handover note when the engagement pauses or ends
• A written update every Friday with what was done, what is next and anything blocked
• Questions collected in one thread, answered within one working day

What a week looks like

• Monday: 15-minute check-in to agree the week's items
• Wednesday: main working block (1 hours)
• Friday: hand-off note with what shipped and what is open

Duration: 12 weeks, renewable. Accepted after the walkthrough. Edits requested within three working days are part of the price.

How you get paid

• The company prepays Deftridge before your first hour, so payment does not depend on a late invoice.
• Deftridge pays you in GBP after the company confirms the hours or the deliverable. The payment date is written in your task agreement.
• You work as an independent contractor: you report your own income, and your recruiter sends the statements your accountant needs.
• You never chase the company. Questions about money go to Deftridge.
