About this task

This education foundation in climate (1,001–5,000 employees) is looking for a manager Internal Audit & SOX Support for an ongoing part-time engagement of 1–2 h a week. Tracks open findings and verifies the fixes.

The team is stretched and wants steady, predictable help instead of another full-time hire. It is a nonprofit, so budgets are tight and grant reporting dates are fixed.

The team sits in Cork. Everything can be done remotely; an occasional visit is welcome and never required for the first month. The work runs in two set slots a week, agreed with the team at the start. About 3 hours a week should overlap with the team's day (Irish time).

What you deliver

• Follow up 20 open audit findings with owners, record evidence and close those that pass re-test.
• A short handover note when the engagement pauses or ends
• Work logged against the agreed list, so the company contact can see progress without a call
• Questions collected in one thread, answered within one working day

What a week looks like

• Friday: 15-minute check-in to agree the week's items
• Monday: main working block (1 hours)
• Thursday: hand-off note with what shipped and what is open

Duration: 6 months, then month by month. Accepted when the company contact confirms the deliverable against the written checklist. One round of edits is included.

How you get paid

• The company prepays Deftridge before your first hour, so payment does not depend on a late invoice.
• Deftridge pays you in EUR after the company confirms the hours or the deliverable. The payment date is written in your task agreement.
• You work as an independent contractor: you report your own income, and your recruiter sends the statements your accountant needs.
• You never chase the company. Questions about money go to Deftridge.
