About this task

This biotech company in neuroscience (501–1,000 employees) is looking for a senior Compliance Analyst for an ongoing part-time engagement of 1–2 h a week. Monitors new rules and summarises their effect.

The company wants a senior person on this without carrying the cost of a full-time role. It works in life sciences, where documents are versioned and reviewed in a fixed order.

The company prefers a person who can come to Baltimore for kickoff and the final review; the rest is remote. The company prefers early-morning hours, before a normal working day starts. About 2 hours a week should overlap with the team's day (ET).

What you deliver

• Prepare a monthly digest of changes in financial services and privacy rules.
• A short handover note when the engagement pauses or ends
• Questions collected in one thread, answered within one working day
• Work logged against the agreed list, so the company contact can see progress without a call

What a week looks like

• Tuesday: 15-minute check-in to agree the week's items
• Monday: main working block (1 hours)
• Thursday: hand-off note with what shipped and what is open

Duration: 12 weeks, renewable. Accepted when the company contact confirms the deliverable against the written checklist. One round of edits is included.

How you get paid

• The company prepays Deftridge before your first hour, so payment does not depend on a late invoice.
• Deftridge pays you in USD after the company confirms the hours or the deliverable. The payment date is written in your task agreement.
• You work as an independent contractor: you report your own income, and your recruiter sends the statements your accountant needs.
