About this task

This Series B HR software company for field-service companies (201–500 employees) is looking for a senior Bookkeeper for an ongoing part-time engagement of 2–5 h a week. Matches receipts to transactions and chases missing ones.

Workload peaks and dips, so a few fixed hours a week fit better than a full-time seat. The company sells subscription software, so deadlines follow release and billing cycles.

The team sits in Heidelberg. Everything can be done remotely; an occasional visit is welcome and never required for the first month. Evenings or weekends are fine, as long as the agreed weekly output is there.

What you deliver

  • Match 250 card transactions to receipts, flag 20 missing ones and request them from the team.
  • A short handover note when the engagement pauses or ends
  • Questions collected in one thread, answered within one working day
  • Work logged against the agreed list, so the company contact can see progress without a call

What a week looks like

  • Tuesday: pick up the queue and confirm priorities
  • Midweek: two short working sessions of one to two hours
  • Monday: update sent before the company's end of day

Duration: 6 months, then month by month. Accepted after the walkthrough. Edits requested within three working days are part of the price.

Not included

  • Managing other contractors or employees

How you get paid

  • The company prepays Deftridge before your first hour, so payment does not depend on a late invoice.
  • Deftridge pays you in EUR after the company confirms the hours or the deliverable. The payment date is written in your task agreement.
  • You work as an independent contractor: you report your own income, and your recruiter sends the statements your accountant needs.
  • You never chase the company. Questions about money go to Deftridge.
