About this task

This Food-supply cooperative in greenhouse growing (501–1,000 employees) is looking for a director Product Manager for a single piece of work with a fixed scope and a fixed price. A roadmap with reasons: what to build now, next and not at all.

The work is too small to justify a hire and too important to leave to chance. It is an agri-business, so the calendar follows the growing season.

The team sits in Zagreb. Everything can be done remotely; an occasional visit is welcome and never required for the first month. You choose your hours; nothing is scheduled except an occasional short call.

What you deliver

• Turn 60 requests and a strategy memo into a six-month roadmap with scoring, trade-offs and a one-page rationale.
• The finished deliverable in the agreed file format, with sources and assumptions listed
• A final note stating what was checked and what was left out of scope
• One round of edits after the company's review is included

How the work runs

• Day 1: kickoff call and access to the files
• Days 2 to 8: the work, with questions answered the same day
• Last day: delivery and a short walkthrough

Duration: 1 to 2 weeks. Accepted when the output matches the agreed checklist and the sample check passes; the recruiter confirms by e-mail.

How you get paid

• The company prepays Deftridge before your first hour, so payment does not depend on a late invoice.
• Deftridge pays you in EUR after the company confirms the hours or the deliverable. The payment date is written in your task agreement.
• You work as an independent contractor: you report your own income, and your recruiter sends the statements your accountant needs.
• You never chase the company. Questions about money go to Deftridge.
