About this task

This Machine-learning platform (5,000+ employees) is looking for a senior Product Manager for a paid one-hour session with a senior specialist. A senior product leader's view on one decision.

A short, focused session replaces days of internal debate. It builds AI products and needs human experts to check what the models produce.

The work is fully remote. Any location in United States works, with a few hours of overlap with the team's day. The call is booked at a time that suits you, evenings included.

What you deliver

  • Review a founder's roadmap and answer three questions on sequencing, team size and what to cut.
  • No preparation outside the hour unless you both agree to extend
  • One focused hour, with the questions sent to you the day before
  • Pointers to sources you relied on, so the company can check them

How the work runs

  • Day 1: scope confirmed in writing, files shared
  • Middle of the period: draft shared for early feedback
  • Last day: final version and handover note

Duration: One session of about an hour. Accepted when the company contact confirms the deliverable against the written checklist. One round of edits is included.

Who fits

  • Comfortable working in Zoom
  • Your own work history stays private; the company sees a first name, your field and a rate

Nice to have

  • Has worked with a distributed team across time zones
  • Comfortable explaining numbers or decisions to a non-specialist reader

Not included

  • Managing other contractors or employees
  • On-call availability outside the agreed window
  • Travel or work at a fixed location

How you get paid

  • The company prepays Deftridge before your first hour, so payment does not depend on a late invoice.
  • Deftridge pays you in USD after the company confirms the hours or the deliverable. The payment date is written in your task agreement.
  • You work as an independent contractor: you report your own income, and your recruiter sends the statements your accountant needs.
  • You never chase the company. Questions about money go to Deftridge.
