About this task

This environmental nonprofit in global health (201–500 employees) is looking for a senior SQL & ETL Support for an ongoing part-time engagement of 3–6 h a week. Finds why a load failed and fixes or escalates it.

The team is stretched and wants steady, predictable help instead of another full-time hire. It is a nonprofit, so budgets are tight and grant reporting dates are fixed.

The company prefers a person who can come to Mission Viejo for kickoff and the final review; the rest is remote. You choose your hours; nothing is scheduled except an occasional short call. About 2 hours a week should overlap with the team's day (PT).

What you deliver

• Monitor overnight loads, resolve failures and write a short incident note for each one.
• A short handover note when the engagement pauses or ends
• A written update every Wednesday with what was done, what is next and anything blocked
• Work logged against the agreed list, so the company contact can see progress without a call

What a week looks like

• Daily: one hour at a time that suits you, inside the agreed window
• Monday: ten-minute sync if anything is blocked
• Wednesday: weekly summary posted to the shared thread

Duration: 6 months, then month by month. Accepted after the walkthrough. Edits requested within three working days are part of the price.

How you get paid

• The company prepays Deftridge before your first hour, so payment does not depend on a late invoice.
• Deftridge pays you in USD after the company confirms the hours or the deliverable. The payment date is written in your task agreement.
• You work as an independent contractor: you report your own income, and your recruiter sends the statements your accountant needs.
• You never chase the company. Questions about money go to Deftridge.
