About this task

This Series C analytics software company for HR teams (201–500 employees) is looking for a senior SQL & ETL Support for an ongoing part-time engagement of 3–6 h a week. Finds why a load failed and fixes or escalates it.

Workload peaks and dips, so a few fixed hours a week fit better than a full-time seat. The company sells subscription software, so deadlines follow release and billing cycles.

The company prefers a person who can come to Brescia for kickoff and the final review; the rest is remote. Evenings or weekends are fine, as long as the agreed weekly output is there. About 2 hours a week should overlap with the team's day (CET).

What you deliver

  • Monitor overnight loads, resolve failures and write a short incident note for each one.
  • Work logged against the agreed list, so the company contact can see progress without a call
  • A written update every Friday with what was done, what is next and anything blocked
  • A short handover note when the engagement pauses or ends

What a week looks like

  • Tuesday: 15-minute check-in to agree the week's items
  • Monday: main working block (2 hours)
  • Friday: hand-off note with what shipped and what is open

Duration: 8 weeks, renewable. Accepted when the company contact confirms the deliverable against the written checklist. One round of edits is included.

Who fits

  • 5-10 years of hands-on work as an SQL & ETL Support, or the equivalent mix of roles
  • Comfortable working in Airflow, dbt and Fivetran
  • Your own work history stays private; the company sees a first name, your field and a rate

Nice to have

  • Has worked with a distributed team across time zones
  • A habit of asking one clarifying question early rather than five late

Not included

  • Travel or work at a fixed location
  • Anything that needs a signature in your own name unless the brief says so
  • Work outside the scope written in the brief; extra items are quoted separately

How you get paid

  • The company prepays Deftridge before your first hour, so payment does not depend on a late invoice.
  • Deftridge pays you in EUR after the company confirms the hours or the deliverable. The payment date is written in your task agreement.
  • You work as an independent contractor: you report your own income, and your recruiter sends the statements your accountant needs.
  • You never chase the company. Questions about money go to Deftridge.
