About this task
This Series A clinical data company for dental practices (11–50 employees) is looking for a specialist Payroll Specialist for a single piece of work with a fixed scope and a fixed price. Samples payroll across a year and tests rates, deductions and overtime.
It is a self-contained job: scope, checklist and price are agreed before you start. It works in healthcare, so patient data is never part of the task and privacy rules are strict.
The work is fully remote, but the company can only contract people who live in Nebraska, so this one is for residents there. You choose your hours; nothing is scheduled except an occasional short call. About 1 hour a week should overlap with the team's day (CT).
What you deliver
- Audit 12 months of payroll for 40 employees and report rate errors, missed deductions and overtime issues.
- One round of edits after the company's review is included
- A 20-minute walkthrough call, or a recorded screen share if you prefer
- A final note stating what was checked and what was left out of scope
How the work runs
- Day 1: scope confirmed in writing, files shared
- Middle of the period: draft shared for early feedback
- Last day: final version and handover note
Duration: 2 to 3 weeks. Accepted on the company's written OK. If something is missed, you fix it in the same week at no extra charge to either side.
