About this task
This biotech company in neuroscience (201–500 employees) is looking for a senior Accounts Receivable & Collections Specialist for an ongoing part-time engagement of 4–10 h a week. Contacts customers with late balances and agrees payment dates.
The person who did this left, and the company would rather bring in an experienced part-timer than rush a permanent hire. It works in life sciences, where documents are versioned and reviewed in a fixed order.
The team sits in Dundee. Everything can be done remotely; an occasional visit is welcome and never required for the first month. Evenings or weekends are fine, as long as the agreed weekly output is there. About 1 hour a week should overlap with the team's day (UK time).
What you deliver
- Contact the 30 customers over 40 days late, record promises to pay and escalate the five largest balances.
- A short handover note when the engagement pauses or ends
- Questions collected in one thread, answered within one working day
- A written update every Thursday with what was done, what is next and anything blocked
What a week looks like
- Monday: pick up the queue and confirm priorities
- Midweek: two short working sessions of one to two hours
- Thursday: update sent before the company's end of day
Duration: 6 months, then month by month. Accepted when the company contact confirms the deliverable against the written checklist. One round of edits is included.
