About this task

This recruiting platform for small businesses (5,000+ employees) is looking for a manager Talent Acquisition Manager for an ongoing part-time engagement of 2–5 h a week. Helps close the candidates the company wants.

The team is stretched and wants steady, predictable help instead of another full-time hire. It works in staffing and HR technology, and the team is used to external specialists.

The team sits in San Antonio. Everything can be done remotely; an occasional visit is welcome and never required for the first month. The company prefers early-morning hours, before a normal working day starts.

What you deliver

• Support hiring managers on offers: pay, timing and candidate calls for senior hires.
• Questions collected in one thread, answered within one working day
• A written update every Tuesday with what was done, what is next and anything blocked
• A short handover note when the engagement pauses or ends

What a week looks like

• Wednesday: 15-minute check-in to agree the week's items
• Friday: main working block (2 hours)
• Tuesday: hand-off note with what shipped and what is open

Duration: 12 weeks, renewable. Accepted when the output matches the agreed checklist and the sample check passes; the recruiter confirms by e-mail.

How you get paid

• The company prepays Deftridge before your first hour, so payment does not depend on a late invoice.
• Deftridge pays you in USD after the company confirms the hours or the deliverable. The payment date is written in your task agreement.
• You work as an independent contractor: you report your own income, and your recruiter sends the statements your accountant needs.
• You never chase the company. Questions about money go to Deftridge.
